What if safety products were designed with the same care as the spaces they sit in? That's the question at the heart of our founder Medy Navani's conversation with Design Middle East, in a feature that introduces a term we're proud to be putting into the world: Assurance wear.
A Design Problem, Not Just a Safety One
Medy brings over 20 years of architecture and interior design experience to Instinkt, through his work at Design Haus Medy. That background shapes how he sees the gap in personal safety, not as a missing product but as a design failure:
"Most safety systems protect the building, not the individual."
Buildings have fire codes, sprinklers, and exit signage. What they don't have is anything designed around the person actually living or working inside them when something goes wrong.
What's Next
Design Middle East previews where this is heading: Instinkt's roadmap extends beyond fire safety into natural disaster preparedness and humanitarian response. The EV1 is where assurance wear starts, not where it ends.
